Back from AirVenture 2013. Was great to meet some other Sonex owners/builders, take detailed pics of the factory Onex, pickup a couple of needed items at Sonex, and generally soak up the AirVenture experience again.
Bought an older two-axis Tru-Trak autopilot while at AirVenture and I'll be able to install that in the panel hole intended for the compass. The kit included hardware for a Sonex installation. I'll need to adapt that for a Onex installation. I'll also need to find a different style compass and location for it. Lots of choices there.
I had an old baffle setup that was used on a KR2. Set it on the engine just to get an idea of places to attach the Onex baffle kit. Notice in the second pic how the baffle lets air through the oil cooler. The third pic shows the oil cooler baffle version on the factory Onex tri-gear.
